Storm windows for screened porches

Our windows are made from heavy-duty aluminum extrusion, 16 ml vinyl, and year life Santoprene gaskets. We guarantee our products and offer an extended limited warranty; 20 years on the aluminum frame, 10 years on the gaskets, and 3 years on the Vinyl. Our Screen Porch Enclosures offer homeowners an unobstructed view because they have no crossbars blocking the opening where the span width or height is less than 58 inches.

The durable vinyl does not wrinkle or sag; our proprietary aluminum frame tightly stretches it. We make single panels up to 45 inches X 58 inches. We use a combination of multiple panels joined together with a continuous hinge and center post for larger openings. To measure your window openings, we recommend starting with a clean sheet of paper and making a sketch of your porch. Start inside your porch, with your back to your home, and sketch each opening from left to right and number them as you go.

Once you have a sketch of the window openings, add dimensions to each side top, bottom, right, and left. Make sure you measure within the framing of the opening and don't round up past the framing.

It holds the panel in position during installation. We can attach to either wood or aluminum porches. The Inserts are threaded metal anchors that hold the screw and panel in place.

This is ideal to use on customers' framing where jambs or stops are not currently in place. This is a great benefit as the customer does not have to spend the time and cost to install the jamb boards.

All hardware and fasteners are provided for ease of assembly. Piedmont's cuts were incredible in their accuracy. Tip 2 years ago on Step 5. Plexiglass is prone to expansion so I think there needs to be a gap between the edge of the 'glass and the depth of the slot to prevent buckling. Might be worth mentioning.

For screws going into end grain, I often grind a small flat at the point so they cut themselves a thread. I too should make a set for the porch, if only the West side. It's a place I love to sleep, watch the moon and sometimes catch a firefly, but when nights are cold I have to wear a toque, or wet enough that I'm driven inside.

Yes for sure. With Larson double or triple track storm panels, you can feel the warm breeze or make your porch comfy and cozy in seconds. Both options are much less expensive and quicker than replacing your screened in porch and add months of use.
